While they don’t provide the level of protection provided by the AMSOIL 25,000-mile oils, the XL line still easily trumps any petroleum-based motor oil as well as most other synthetics on the market. In fact, when an oil life monitor or used oil analysis is employed, AMSOIL XL Motor Oils easily remain suitable for continued service far beyond the recommended 7,500 miles.

While installing an AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter along with AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oil ensures maximum protection, it also goes beyond what is necessary for these applications. Motorists choosing to use the XL oils would be money ahead to pair them with a WIX oil filter, which is why AMSOIL carries both the Ea and WIX filters for the same applications. While WIX filters are not intended for use for 25,000 miles, they provide more than adequate filtration for 7,500 miles and beyond when used with XL Synthetic Motor Oil.
